 March 25th 2004,
Siyonara is a sad sad word. I've always hated syaing goodbye's and try to avoid them as much as possible.
Anyway, I am back in the states. Its a little odd being back. I was just getting used to everyone speaking japanese and everything being written in Kanji and Katana. At least the weather is kick ass. I woke up and went for a nice little 6 mile run to cheer me up. I miss my jeep and my surfboard. They are currently chillin in the company of my rents up in Baltimore, while I am left without here in North Carolina. That problem should hopefully be remedied by this weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing the rents. Ive missed them much. JM is still rocking out in Iwakuni. Gabe never made it back from thailand so Jen and her sis are on their own little Japanese adventure. Wish I could be there partying it up with em'. Now that I'm back I'm going to make some steller improvements to my site once I get the internet in my room back up and running. I'm starting a "Celebrity Pen-Pals" page, and have already sent letters to Gov. Arnold Shwarzennegger and Dr. Bill Cosby. Look for that page in the near future... hopefully I'll get some replies. Many of you out there have requested certain items you would like to see JBug eat. Give it time kids... JBug just returned from Japan along with me and is enjoying some time with his lady. I'll improve on that page soon enough. Okay, im sick of writting. Besides, its too nice outside and I want to go out and play. If you get bored hit me up at (252)622-9358. I'll be awaiting the next great adventure...

 March 21st 2004,
Another sunday, body sore from the weekend- hydrating, rocking out to THRICE's artist in the ambulance CD, and writing to you. Yes, you. This has been a killer week, good show on tuesday, a nice mellow friday night at the bar, and a good show last night followed up with an after party. J.M. and I made some drunken phone calls friday night. When I awoke saturday morning I layed in my bed wondering why my pillow hurt so much. I opened my eyes as much as they allowed and felt as though my head was heavier than normal. It wasnt till I passed my reflection on the way to the bathroom that I realized I fell asleep with my fighter pilot helmet on. Moral of the story- stay away from polish vodka. C-dog knows all about that. Props out to the bands we saw last night and then partied with afterwords. Props to the hella cute drummer chick from VanaCock. Props to the 7-11 lady for always putting up with us as we stumble in to get edibles and giant asahi's beetween sets. Okay I'm done typing... enjoy the pics...

March 17th, 2004
Finally! An Update! Sorry it's taken so long. Where to start...
Last weekend rocked in a mellow sort of fashion. A few of us headed down to Hiroshima to check out the scene. It was a pretty humbling experience. I wont get in to that though. This site is all about the party baby YEAH!
Sunday was sweet. Mineh took us out to a sweet little relaxation spot out in Oshima. Good Food- Good Jamaican Beer- Great Location- Great Weather. Truly a super sweet day. Japanese Rastafarians (spell check that one) are without a doubt a groovy crew to hang with.
Last night was also a bomb-diggidy adventure. The ClockWork Kamikaze tour came though and we partied down at RokuRokuRoku like it was 1999 (but not really because that already happened and it wasnt that great- I was there I know). The Band from Japan was killer and Lower Class Brats ( http://www.lowerclassbrats.com ) put on a sweet show. Props go out to those guys for coming all the way out from TX, USA to party. As usual, we all got our drink on ( The Liter Asahi's hurt my tummy, but the pics with the can half the size of me were well worth it ) and ended the night stumbling down to HokkaHokkaTei ( http://www.hokkahokkatei.com ) for some killer late night Japanese edibles. Two more days till the weekend... I'll give you the Shibby as it happens. With much Love and Randomness

My Watch Says Thursday March 11, 2004,
I havent updated the site in awhile. I am 100% apologetic. I think I might have food poisoning. Some friends and I decided to start working on a side project to the page called "JBug eats Anything" (our buddy J = JBug). We went out tuesday night and started with this weird Japanese fish stuff down at the market in FujiGrande. Umm... good on J for being able to stomach it, as for me- wednesday till nowish has been hell. My stomach is pissed off at me. Regardless, the addition to the site will be up soon... look out for it.
Woohhooo! I got word that when I get back I'm probably heading out to California for a week or two (knock on wood)! Ventura County Baby! Gotta love it. I'll write more later... I have some friends to say hi to and I have to head back to work in a bit.

Today is March 8th, 2004... Have you done your taxes yet?-
Kombanwa! Sunday was an absolute waste of a day. I had to work all day- from 7a.m. sunday morning till 7a.m. monday morning. I survived off of Super Pretzels! http://www.superpretzel.com Thank you super pretzels, thank you! Another week of work begins! Arggh.... Everybody's working for the weekend is playing over and over again in my head today. That song holds so much truth within it. I've gotten word that my friend (and roomate in Japan) Gabe, is going to be stuck in Thailand for a few weeks. No Roomate! Wooohhooo! (sorry buddy) It really sucks for him- his girl Jen and her sister are coming out here to party with us in the extremely near future and he won't even be present. I promised Jen I'd still make sure her and her sister have a bad ass time out here.
I told Minah they were coming out, and told him I'd bring them by RokuRokuRoku. There arent many americans at the place- and I'm betting even fewer female Americans (if any) have partied there... this may prove intresting.
Random thought I'd like to throw out (just stuff floating in my head today):
1. Linus Torvalds is the Shiznit (chicks dig Unix!)
2. Must subscribe to wired magazine http://www.wired.com
3. (The Previous thought placed here has been ommited. just skip to number4)
4. I forgot to buy dental floss! Damnit!
5. Coffee. Mmmm....
6. No matter how much older and more mature I get (hahaha right) strongbad

March 7th, 2004-
Very Tired, slightly hung over... very fun saturday night...
Partied at RokuRokuRoku- we showed up a bit early (my bad guys... I'm a nerd), threw down a few asahi, then walked down the back alleys to get some grub at The Gold Tooth. Awesome food- Minah's cousins own the place. Its a small little Tepanyaki Bar no bigger than a dorm room. Good music- awesome reggae atmosphere. After filling our bellies we headed back to RokuRokuRoku and finished out the night there B.R. got sloshed off the polish vodka Minah had J.M., Shark, and I try friday night. Note to self- I have to buy a few bottles of that before I leave. Its harsh but bad-ass.
Oh yeah- one more thing... if any Lego-Loving nerds out there get bored check this out: http://www.brickfilms.com
Lego Movies! Yeah Baby!

March 6th, 2004-
Currently Listening to: Thrice- Artist in the Ambulance
I woke up to snow?!?!?! Just last week I was running around without a shirt on and now snow? Whats up with that man? Good times last night, nothing extremely exciting. Went out to rokurokuroku... had a few beers, Mineh Gave us these shots that were strong as hell. I have no clue what it was, all I know is that it was 95% alchohol- tasted like crap, and burned like no other shot I've done in quite awhile. We were B.S. ing with Mineh about where he's been and crap. He's been to the UK, and Ireland.... never the U.S. Im thinking about starting up some sort of "Bring Mineh to the U.S. for a bad-ass punk show" campaigne. Anyway, I'm tossing some pics from last night on the bottom... enjoy!

March 5th, 2004-
Finally, a decent day... I did my six and some change mile run along the seawall... Im all stoked- And... Its Friday! Yeahhh Boyee!
We Got cut off work a bit early today- had a nice little barBQ, a couple of choice brews and what not. I'm getting ready to head down to rokurokuroku with J.M and Shark for some Friday night Japanese Punk Rock Fun! J.M.'s birthday is Sunday. Email him here: Jm@thedaveshahadventure.com and wish him a happy birthday. The first five people to do so get some special dave shah love in the mail... or nothing at all, and you can just pat yourself on the back for being a compassionate friend.
I started working on another page addition to this site to keep you, my captivated readers, amused. It should be added this weekend if I get around to it.
Anyway, Im outtie... the night is young, and I'm a single man in the land of Japan. Punk Rock hotties be warned!

March 4th, 2004-

Today Is still really friggin cold. God is smitting me. I was hoping for a nice sunny day, instead he/she (look... Im politically correct!) gave me crap!
I hate the cold... Now I'm grumpy. (again)

Shark made a badass video last night. Job well done dude...
I have to work on the same. I had a goal of making a super sweet deployment video while out here... I have some good footage, just have to edit it together.
I also found this Kick ass web page I wanted to support... check it out here:http://www.realultimatepower.net (you have to have a decent sense of humor to truly appreciate the oddness of it)

I got Packages today! I RULE! People LOVE ME!- but NO SOCKS!

If anyone out there wants to get on my good side in a super rad kind of way- get me socks. I always get cool stuff from people, but never what I really want- socks. Make sure they're cool colors though- argyle or something... maybe some sort of checkerd ska type deal.

Theres only about 39 some days left in Japan! Time is flying by way too quick.
I have to make it up to MD. when I get back to the states. I miss all my E.C. buddies- Sara Cavey, Steve J., etc. etc., maybe just maybe I'll actually hang out with Kelsey H. when I get back, but whenever I plan on doing that, we never hang. I think I havent actually hung out with that chick since January 2003... I need to have Ben Cles' come out to MD, or head up to philly when Im around that area... I havent seen him since He left this summer. Things just arent the same with out him sniff* sniff* sniff* SIKE~

I do miss my friends though, I'm having a blast out here and meeting some kick ass new friends as always, but I wish I could have everyone with me for one huge party everywhere I go.

Gabe Leaves in July. I figured out my summer plans... kind of. I figure I'll get back to the states in late april and head out to MD for a week or so. Then, I'll come back out to NC and enjoy the surf out by the Sheraton and hit up OBX as much as I can. Once Gabes gone, I'll pcak up my car and head west for a month- stop by MD- see friends, stop by OH. see Chip, Helen B., make my way out to Cali eventually and surf my ass off. I'll take about a month off- I deserve it hahahaa.

In more recent upcomingness-
Jen (Gabes Girl) will be making her way out to Japan in a few weeks. She's bringing her sister (Shwing!) hahaha. Expect to see some bad ass updates on the site when they come out here.
RokuRokuRoku is holding a big show with bands from Tokyo, The U.S.!?!?!, osaka, etc. and Aki's band is opening for them all.
Surf Season is almost over in Japan but I finally made some connections. There's a guy out in town by the name of "Turbo" (yeah... dont ask). He knows the scene and can hook us up with board rentals (I miss my board) and wetsuits. Trying to head out late march...

Thats about it. Im Outtie

This Is the LCB (Lower Class Brats Show)...
I have a huge gash in my arm from that pit. Why do punk kids have to wear spikes? Seriously, I'm making a jacket- Black, Leather, punk patches, and NO SPIKES! Instead I'll cover it in that bubble packing stuff. Ohhh Yeah! Sweet Idea! And if the show sucks popping my bubbles is guaranteed entertainment.
